This is the Cannes Festival currently . I am not part of it this year , but this is an occasion to post a few pictures , like this starlette in front of the Carlton Hotel ( I have plenty of really better and more informative pictures , but won't post them without proper authorization ...) . Nude starlettes in Cannes are a tradition where photographers ( mostly amateurs) have a good time , and there is always a small hope that some movie director or producer will notice , leading to _why not_ a first screen appearance . Plus , the first half of may , wich is the time for the Cannes film Festival each year , is usually when you really begin to go to the beach again , it's getting warm . Cannes is really something during the Festival . Lots of things happening , people from all over the world , festive ambiance . For those happy just to see celebrities , it can happen any time , although the most famous actors and directors are known to wake up VERY early to enjoy a promenade on the croisette without the hassle and paparazzi .
But I will also use this post to make an homage to our beloved Mouna , "anarcho-libertaire" , that I pictured once at a Cannes festival and who died 5 years ago in may . He was well known in the streets of Paris where he spent his days with his eternal bicycle haranguing strollers against war , capitalism (Caca-Pipi-Capitalism...) and others... I first discovered him when , leaving Strasbourg , I went to work in Paris . You could often see him near Centre Beaubourg . Always a pleasure .
Even if , turned more conservative , I didnt share his view of the world , I respected him . He was a "personnage" in France . He happened to go to Cannes with the help of caring friends , and that's why this picture . Sure he did not stay at the Carlton , or the Majestic , but he was a star too . Here he rants against american movies , the Rambos at least... He wrote : "L'amour avec un flingue , c'est stupide . Apprendre à aimer" . He loved playing and arranging words , like in this other picture , where he wrote about Tchernobyl and "Tcherno-debile" and about "actifs aujourd'hui-radioactifs demain" . The Tchernobyl event had just occured . People loved him and he had success in the street . His real name was André Dupont and he was born in 1911 . Leo Ferré , singer and anarchist , "managed" to die july 14 th 1993 , national day . Mouna died also on a funny day , it was may 8 th 1999 , war memorial day ... I'm sure he is somewhere having a lot of fun about the timing ...
