The Sacré-Coeur (right)
Time to post a few pictures. Here are a few pictures I shot in Paris either this year or last year. Dim lights are my preferred lighting, that's when nuances come out as well as unexpected visions of otherwise familiar sites
Cruise on the Seine - Deck view on Notre DameThe evening was pleasantly warm, a gentle breeze was helping make it feel better. A seine cruise is particularly scenic at the points where the river is the narrowest, like here between Saint-Michel and Notre Dame. You could almost throw coins to the amateur musicians playing on the banks.
Lights on Place de la ConcordeI love riding my motorcycle around Place de la Concorde before winding right to the Champs-Elysées, but beware of the mobile speed checks, the police likes to hide somewhere on the lower stretch of the Champs, waiting for the hurried motorists (minimum fine : 45 Euro if paid in 15 days)...
The blue Eiffel Tower of 2008If you wanted to shoot this picture, it might be a bit late : The Eiffel Tower was lit in blue all year to celebrate the French presidency of the European Union that year.
The Moulin Rouge (Métro PigalleYou knew it, the Moulin Rouge, of course....
The Tower, viewed from the Bir-Hakeim bridgethe Bir-Hakeim bridge is one of my preferred bridges in Paris, with its iron cast pillars and views on the tower and the Seine. Connecting the 16th to the 15th, it is a very romantic piece of architecture and it is less frequented that many other bridges in more-central parts of Paris.
Merry-go-round near the Eiffel TowerThis merry-go-round is located at the foot of the Trocadero garden on the other side of the Seine from the Eiffel Tower. Lights, movements, a pleasant change for the children.
